If you live in Anderson or Cottonwood and are unable to attend worship services Sunday mornings, Neighborhood Church of Anderson/Cottonwood has launched a new Saturday evening worship service at 6:00pm. the church is at 4684 Rhonda Rd, just south of Wal-mart.

Friend For Life Ministries and Anderson Community Church will have a study of the Book of Revelation, presented by Pastor Dave Honey, October 23rd to 24th. 6:30 to 9:00 each evening. The church is at 2364 Balls Ferry Rd, Anderson. RSVP for this free event by calling 530-949-8871.

All Saints’ Episcopal Church Women’s annual Harvest Bazaar is October 25th from 9:00 to 3:00 at the church, 2150 Benton Drive, Redding.

Scott Valley Christian Academy’s 5th annual Night of Divine Dining and Auction is October 25th at Scott Valley Berean Church. The 6:00 event is to be catered by Olivera’s. tickets and information by calling 467-3681.

There will be a free, Fall Festival for the community October 25th provided by Living Promise church at Meadow Lane School, 2770 Balls Ferry Rd., Anderson. The event is from 5:00 to 7:00.

Simpson University Music Department presents British Choral Music and Poetry at 3:00pm on October 26th. This free event will be in the Heritage Student Center on campus, 2211 College View Drive, Redding. Information by calling 226-4507.

The Wintons in concert October 26th as Grace Presbyterian Church of Red Bluff brings them to town at 2:00pm at Antelope Elementary School, 22630 Antelope Blvd.

Vina Community Church has an AWANA Harvest Festival planned for October 30th from 6:15 to 8:00 at the church, 5th and D Streets in Vina. Fun and food for the whole family. Call 839-2340 for details.

Helping Hands Boutique supplies a gently used children’s clothing give-away November 1st from 10:00 to 2:00 as part of Trinity Lutheran Church’s ministry to the community. The church is at 1440 Hilltop Dr., Redding.

Simpson University offers two classes for senior citizens with classes beginning November 3rd. Register by November 1st for either Dottie Smith’s class on historic gold mines in Shasta County, or Folk Music of the American Peoples, taught by professor Dwayne Corbin. The November meeting of Friends of the Good News Rescue Mission is November 3rd at 11:00 at Oak Grove Bible Fellowship (which meets at the Palo Cedro Seventh-day Adventist Church), 22585 Silver Lode Lane, Palo Cedro. Lunch will be provided.

Aglow Redding meets November 3rd at 6:00pm at The Stirring.

The Redding Police Department and Safe City Project host a community Crime Prevention Fair in the Civic Auditorium November 13th, begging at 5:30. At 7:00, there will be another town hall meeting with Chief of Police Paoletti.
