Volunteers are needed at Riverland Park and Farm to harvest fresh produce for feeding centers and food banks.  Harvest for them, and for you.  Call 243-3373 for directions and hours.

Simpson University for Seniors is offering two courses during October for any adults. Classes start October 7th. Courses will be “Birds of the Bible,” and “Muscovy: The History of Russia from Varangians to Tsars.” Register as soon as possible: 2211 College View Drive in Redding.

The Women’s Fund of Shasta Regional Community Foundation is sponsoring the film “There But for The Grace of God,” followed by a panel discussion by a range of local law enforcement and addiction treatment experts, October 8th, from 5:30 to 8:00, at the Cascade Theater. Register free.

The Alliance Women of Fort Jones Community Church are holding their Craft and Bake Sale on October 12th, starting at 9:00, at Ray’s Market.

Trinity Lutheran Church and Early Learning Center, 2440 Hilltop Drive, is holding a Harvest Festival, with hayrides, face painting, a bounce house, and food trucks, October 12th, 1:00-5:00.

A Principal 8 Rally is being organized by Celebrate Recovery, with inspiring testimonies and challenges from Celebrate state representatives. Meet at High Point Assembly, 625 Luther Road, in Red Bluff, October 19th at 10:00. Lunch will follow.

New Life Church of God, 10582 Old Oregon Trail, in Redding, is holding their 4th Harvest Festival for the whole family, October 19th, from 6:00 to 8:00. Free, with games, food, face painting, and lots of treats!

The “Helping Hands Boutique” giveaway, with new and gently used children’s clothing, will be handing out items October 19th, from 9:00 to 1:00, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 2440 Hilltop Drive, in Redding.

The Ball Brothers bring their “Music that Spans the Generations” to First Church of God, 1005 S. Jackson Street, Red Bluff, on October 24th, at 6:30. Free.
