Samaritan’s Purse is helping California wildfire victims retrieve personal items lost in the fire, such as jewelry, coins, and other keepsakes.  For help, or to volunteer assistance, go to www.spvolunteer.org.

Life Light needs baby clothes for summer and winter, for baby boys and girls.  Call 222-5200.

Professor Tom Meyer, the Bible Memory Man, has memorized twenty complete books of the Bible.  Tom will speak January 27th at 10:15 at CrossPointe Community Church, 2960 Hartnell Ave., Redding.  Info by calling the church, 221-4871.

Simpson University offers two classes for adults of any age beginning in February: Acts of the Apostles and Growing Up Behind the Iron Curtain.  Details by calling 226-4978.

Experience the Weimar Academy choir and orchestra from the Weimar Institute near Colfax as they present an evening of inspirational music and devotions.  The free concert is February 1st at 7:00pm at the Red Bluff Seventh-day Adventist Church, 720 S. Jackson St in Red Bluff.

GriefShare is a 13-week seminar and support group for those experiencing grief and loss.  The meetings are Sundays from 3:00 to 5:00, beginning February 3rd at Redding Christian Fellowship, 2157 Victor Ave. Call 530-604-7043 or 530-222-3425 for more information.

Friends of the Good News Rescue Mission meet next on February 4th at 11:00am at Grace Baptist Church, 3782 Churn Creek Rd., Redding.  Lunch provided by the church.  Please bring a food donation of beans and/or coffee for the mission kitchen.  You’ll hear testimonies from New Life Recovery members.
